1. Víš, koho jsem včera viděla? Karolínu! – Ale ta je v Americe. Snad ses spletla? (You know whom I saw yesterday? Karolína! – But she’s in Amerika. Perhapsyou were mistaken?)
2. Promiň, tento víkend nemohu přijet. Snad někdy jindy. (Sorry, I can’t come this weekend. Maybe some other time.)

1. Moje sestra je už týden v nemocnici. – Opravdu? Snad se brzy uzdraví! (My sister’s been in hospital for a week. – Really? I hope she’ll get better soon!
2. Snad přijde. Slíbil mi to! (I hope he’ll come. He promised!)

1. To snad nemyslíš vážně?! Vezmeš si moje auto a ani mi o tom neřekneš!? (Surely, you cannot be serious?! You take my car and don’t even tell me about it?!)

4. Snad už nejdete? Chtěla jsem vám ještě nabídnout dezert! – Surely, you’re not leaving yet? I still wanted to offer you a dessert!)
